Explore & Create in Costa Rica Tours include:

Airport transfer to and from hotel in Atenas.
All ground transportation in Costa Rica with professional driver provided by a reputable company.
All lodging in small, clean and friendly inns. All rooms have private baths and hot water showers. Room taxes included.
All meals (except for one lunch) which include taxes and gratuities and special tours included in itinerary. Does not include optional activities during participant’s free time. Every effort is made to accommodate dietary restrictions. With few exceptions, participants can choose their meals directly off of a restaurant menu. No hidden tour costs of meals not included in the tour package price.
An interactive workbook designed by Jan Yatsko to help you create exciting and memorable travel art journals during this tour and for future reference.
Jan Yatsko will be your bilingual guide/art journal instructor throughout the tour. She has personally researched and designed this tour package. Jan brings her knowledge of 11+ years of living in Costa Rica and 8 years of tour experience to you.
Trip focus: Participants will learn about and actively engage in Costa Rica’s abundant nature, rich culture, colorful art and delicious food. Jan Yatsko will also provide to each person the stimulus, encouragement and informal instruction to create a travel art journal filled with personal tour experiences. Your journals could include splashes of tropical colors, native natural materials, paintings, drawings, sketches, collages and written observations. Fun daily creativity exercises will act as a catalyst to begin each journal page as well as develop your creative thinking skills to use in every day life. This ADULT tour is designed to suit the needs of all ability levels and interests. Pre-trip information will include a list of suggested art journal materials, what to pack and other essential travel information. There are many optional activities for a spouse or friend who does not wish to create an art journal.

Double room: $1575 per person**

Single room: $1950 per person**

Not included in the tour package: Travel insurance; passport fees; RT airfare to Costa Rica; tips to drivers and guides; alcoholic beverages and snacks; one lunch and optional activities on free time; meals and/or lodging before the welcome dinner and after breakfast on the departure day; art journal supplies; departure tax in Costa Rica

Registration/ Payment/ Cancellation: Tour size is limited to 8 people and will be filled on a first come basis. Complete payment of the tour package price will register you for the tour. Payment is by check in dollars payable to: Jan Yatsko or by credit card through PayPal. Registration is not complete until payment and a signed registration form are sent to Jan Yatsko. Please click on “Registration Form” for more details. Registration deadline is May 2, 2011 for the July tour. You can also check for last minute availability if you have learned about this tour after those dates. If there is a cancellation between May 3 to June 3, 2011 for the July tour, there is a 50% penalty charge of the tour price. A cancellation anytime after June 4, 2011 there is a 100% penalty of the tour price. All cancellations must be received in writing by email. There will be no reduction, deferral or return of fees for late arrival, early departure or cancellation for medical or personal reasons, death in family, natural disasters, act of war, civil disruption or acts of God. It is advisable that you purchase travel insurance. All monies paid to me for the tour will be refunded in full if a minimum number of people is not reached.
