Picadillos” in Costa Rica are traditional and delicious mixtures of finely chopped vegetables, meat and seasonings with each variation originating from a particular region in Costa Rica. Jan Yatsko has created a presentation entitled “Picadillo de Arte”. This powerpoint presentation is a visual mixture of art and craft, past and present and by well-known and not so well-known Costa Rican artists. Interpersed among the photos of the artwork are photos of the natural world and the social and cultural life that inspired these artists.

Jan’s purpose for this presentation is to share the art and beauty of Costa Rica with other people who might not have the opportunity to visit this country.  It is also a great introduction to those people who might want to experience Costa Rica first hand.

The presentation lasts about 20 minutes. There is a small display of Costa Rican art and craft items. Presentations can be given to any group of people or organization and is available within a 75 mile radius of Lancaster, PA.
